Leed's Castle

For my 26th birthday, Tim surprised me with a trip to leed's castle. We took a bus about 2 hours south to get to the castle. We had a wonderful day exploring the 500 acres of beautiful land. The castle is over 900 years old and has been the residence for six medieval Queens of England, along with Henry VIII.

The Castle is surrounded by water.
Here are some pictures of the underground grotto. It was filled with designs made of shells and mythical beasts.

There were wonderful gardens of flowers all around.

There was also an aviary filled with rare and exotic birds. Here is a toucan!

At the end of the garden maze was a grotto. Here is Tim and Mackenzie in the grotto.

Here I am in front of the maze. We spent awhile trying to get to the end of the maze, but surprisingly it was really fun!

Here is one of the paths we followed on the way to the castle.

A White peacock that spread it's feather's right as we were passing by.
