The London Eye

On June 20th, 2009, the Fox's headed down to London to take a ride on the London Eye. The London eye is 443 ft High, making it the tallest ferris wheel in Europe. It was first opened to the public in March of 2000. Over 30 million people have taken a ride on the London eye since it opened making it one of the most popular paid attractions in the UK. One trip around the wheel takes about 30 minutes. The views of London were amazing. We had alot of fun on our trip and we will have to make it back down to London to explore even more very soon!

Here we are inside one of the capsules of the wheel.

Here's Mackenzie with the house of parliament and big ben in the background.

Here you can see the westminster bridge and the lambeth bridge which both cross over the thames river.

Mackenzie really liked the ride and wasn't scarred at all! To the left of her is the ministry of defence and to the right of her is whitehall court.

Here is a view of the golden jubilee bridges and the waterloo bridge.

Another view of the city.

Here are the golden jubilee bridges which head into the charing cross station.

Here is another picture of whitehall court. Don't really know what that means but it was a pretty cool looking building!

House of parliament and big ben.

I'm pretty sure this is part of county hall.

Leed's Castle

For my 26th birthday, Tim surprised me with a trip to leed's castle. We took a bus about 2 hours south to get to the castle. We had a wonderful day exploring the 500 acres of beautiful land. The castle is over 900 years old and has been the residence for six medieval Queens of England, along with Henry VIII.

The Castle is surrounded by water.
Here are some pictures of the underground grotto. It was filled with designs made of shells and mythical beasts.

There were wonderful gardens of flowers all around.

There was also an aviary filled with rare and exotic birds. Here is a toucan!

At the end of the garden maze was a grotto. Here is Tim and Mackenzie in the grotto.

Here I am in front of the maze. We spent awhile trying to get to the end of the maze, but surprisingly it was really fun!

English Tea House

Recently Mackenzie and I went to lunch at a tea house with one of our new friends Nikkii. We got the tea sampler which included a variety of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, cake with cream, and of course tea. It was really fun and yummy!

Mackenzie... doesn't she look thrilled.

Our new house in Freckenham, England

On April 16th, 2009 we arrived in England for a 3 year tour with the Air Force at RAF lakenheath. We found a beautiful 4 bedroom house in the small village of Freckenham to live in. We live in farm land and the majority of our neighbors have horses and their own farms. Last week we walked around the village and Mackenzie got to see horses, sheep, and peacocks. As you come into our village you pass a ton of pig farms. I love it when the little piglets are out, they are soo cute. We are finally starting to unpack all of our stuff and as soon as the boxes are out I will take more pictures of the inside.

Our new home!

Another pic of the backyard. The large tank is our oil!

We have a ton of rose bushes.

More beautiful flowers.
